We invite you to join us for an afternoon of delicious food, inspiring conversation, and warm community, at Calgary’s iconic River Café in support of the Cantaré Children’s Choir!

Sal Howell and the staff at the River Cafe are prepared to delight you with a delicious meal while enjoying thoughtful company. This is an opportunity to support Cantaré Children's Choir and help us continue our mission of providing exceptional musical education and unforgettable performance experiences to our community's young people!
Tickets for this exclusive event are priced at $100 per person (only 80 seats!) there will be an EXCITING silent auction with some wonderful prizes and a few exclusive pieces of Cantare memorabilia up for grabs, with all proceeds going directly to the choir! Your presence and generosity will make a meaningful impact on our organization and the young lives we touch.


Our Guest Speaker: Sue Elliott

One of North America’s most innovative arts leaders, Sue Elliott has served as General Director & CEO of Calgary Opera since November 2023. She arrived in Calgary from Massachusett's Norman Rockwell Museum, where she served as its first-ever Chief Audience Officer. Prior to joining the Museum, Sue was inaugural Director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s Tanglewood Learning Institute and Linde Center for Music and Learning. She also launched and led the world’s first online professional development, certificate, and accreditation program for private music teachers at the Royal Conservatory of Music; transformed public programming and partnerships at Seattle Opera, and created Houston Grand Opera’s Song of Houston commissioning and community engagement initiative. A popular lecturer at home and abroad, she co-hosted Saturday Night Opera broadcasts on Classical King FM and served as an advisory board member for ArtsEd Washington, University of Washington School of Music, King FM, Seattle Science Festival, OPERA America, World Refugee Day, and Hobby Center’s Uniquely Houston. Sue holds music performance degrees from McGill University, the University of Toronto, and the University of Southern California and certificates from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Social Impact Strategy.
