Looking to join Cantare Children’s Choir next season? Songsters classes are your first step to building essential skills BEFORE placement in a performing ensemble the following year.

Our 45-60 minute classes instill a love of singing and focus on foundational skill development including the development of vocal production, breathing, musicianship, and literacy [reading and understanding written music].  Choristers will sing a wide spectrum of choral works, folk songs, and singing games.

Choristers will receive a brief theory assignment to be completed at home. Theory assignments provide bite-sized practice opportunities in between lessons to help music-making feel effortless!

Songsters LITE OR Songsters TERM?

We offer two lengths of program depending on the time of year!

Songsters LITE is our starter experience for brand new students who have just come to our choir! This short 5-lesson experience covers an introduction to music-making, singing games, and some basic note and rhythm reading.

Songsters TERM offers a more comprehensive 10-week program which builds essential building blocks for musicianship skills used in weekly rehearsals. This is a great place for students who need to work on their basics for a year to ease in to the choir experience waiting for them in Cantilena/Cantiga

Songsters LITE (5 Weeks; 5 Classes)

Dates: May 6, 13, 20, 27, and June 3
Time: Tuesdays, 4PM - 4:45/ 5PM
Tuition Fee*: $105 (100 + Processing Fees)

Songsters LITE runs every March-April AND May-June to prepare choristers for ensemble membership THE FOLLOWING SEASON

Looking for a full year experience? Songsters TERMS run every FALL Term A (Oct-Dec) and WINTER Term B (Jan - May) through the full year to prepare choristers for ensemble membership THE FOLLOWING SEASON. Songsters are encouraged to continue their learning by signing up for TERM B in the Winter semester

Songsters TERM B [Winter] (10 Weeks; 10 classes)

Dates: TBA
Time: Tuesdays, 4PM-4:45/5PM
Tuition Fee*: $258 (250 + Processing Fees)

Songsters TERM runs every FALL Term (Oct-Dec) and WINTER Term (Jan - May) through the full year to prepare choristers for ensemble membership THE FOLLOWING SEASON.

*Tuition fees are assessed by Cantare Music Services and provide for instruction.
