APRIL: Cantiga Tour is BACK!
2005 Cantiga Southwest Tour
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: CANTIGA TOUR IS BACK!!!
For the first time since the pandemic, we are SO EXCITED to be adding back an incredibly important element of programming: CANTIGA’S MAY BUS TOUR!! 🚌🏔️🌾
This year, our choristers will take the SOUTHWEST Route, leading our team on a school and community performance tour of High River, Nanton, Fort Macleod, Pincher Creek, Bellevue, Blairemore, and into the Crowsnest Pass!
We’ll hit some constant favourites of the Southwest Route like Frank Slide, Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, the Bomber Command Museum of Canada in Nanton, and take the cold dark trek into the Bellevue Mine! We wanted to relaunch Cantiga Tour with our favourite tour route that is filled with a variety of exciting learning experiences from start to finish!
Cantiga Tour is an essential part of our program, giving our choristers a smaller tour experience that will teach them the basics of valuable skills for bigger tours later in their time with Cantare and beyond! We’re excited that, in addition to our Cantiga choristers, we will be joined by some of our CANTARE NOVICES who were given the option to join the tour as senior leaders and mentors and have their own Cantiga Tour experience!
Here’s a throwback to THE FIRST Cantiga tour - our first Southwest AB Tour in 2005, what’s your favourite Cantiga Tour memory?
Support Cantiga Tour Bottle Drive:
We’re excited to announce our upcoming Cantiga Tour Bottle Drive Fundraiser, and we need YOUR help to make it a success! All the funds raised will go directly toward supporting the Cantiga Tour at the end of May—helping us bring beautiful music to new places and see some amazing sights along the way.
Here’s how you can help:
Collect empties: Gather all your bottles and cans. Ask your neighbours, grandparents, friends, aunts and uncles to donate whatever bottles/cans they can. We recommend doing a mini bottle drive down your street to collect as much as possible!
Drop them off at our office: We’ll be hosting a trailer in the East Parking lot of Lutheran Church of the Cross from :
Friday, April 4- Friday, April 11
Friday, May 2- Friday, May 9
