Whether it’s hearing the first notes of O Beautiful Yuletide at Knox United Church or a big glorious sound on stage at the Jack Singer Concert Hall, our choristers are getting excited and prepared for another December season all around Calgary performing with some of your favourite local artists!

“A Choral Christmas” with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra

Former Calgary Philharmonic Associate Conductor Adam Johnson returns to kickstart the festive season with a potpourri of Christmas classics and traditional carols, handpicked by your Phil!

Cantare will join two-time Juno nominated Soprano Miriam Khalil and the Calgary Philharmonic Chorus for a selection of Christmas favourites that will be sure to get your holidays started on the right note!

A big shoutout to Cantaré alumni Allison Numerow and Shelby Lake who will be joining us alongside members of the Calgary Phil Chorus, we love to see you up there singing!

Prepare for the return of "A Rocky Mountain High Christmas" to Calgary, delivering an extraordinary evening celebrating the timeless music of John Denver intertwined with cherished Christmas melodies, setting the perfect tone for the holiday season.

“Joining in the festivities are Canadian recording artists Rick and Steve Worrall, alongside the talented Cantare Children’s Choir - Cantiga, accompanied by a stellar Canadian Allstar band. Sing along to all the iconic John Denver hits and beloved Christmas classics from his memorable collaborations with the Muppets and his cherished "Rocky Mountain Christmas" special.”

This holiday season, all three performing ensembles of Cantare Children's Choir are thrilled to present a captivating performance that perfectly captures the essence of the Winter holidays. Our choir's voices will resound through the air as we sing classic Christmas carols, filling the hearts of those in attendance with joy and warmth. Cantare will share selections from their performance of “A Choral Christmas” with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.

Our choristers are members and active participants in a vibrant choral community! We have a number of members of our extended choir family performing on MANY thrilling choral performances across the city this December - support our parents, staff, and alumni by attending a concert!


Early Music Voices Presents Händel’s Messiah with Rosa Barocca

Under the baton of Red Deer Symphony’s Claude Lepalme, JUNO-Winning Early Music Orchestra Rosa Barocca joins the professional vocal ensemble Early Music Voices and soloists for a stunning Baroque interpretation of Händel’s Messiah! This is a rare opportunity to hear Händel’s masterpiece as it was meant to be heard with period-accurate instruments and vocal shaping. This production will tour across Alberta, ending with Calgary’s favourite Sing-Along Messiah on December 21st

Early Music Voices Presents: SING ALONG MESSIAH
Händel’s Messiah with Rosa Barocca and Debut Soloists
Saturday Dec 21 - 3pm Knox United Church

Join Claude Lapalme, Rosa Barocca, and the professional chorus of Early Music Voices at Knox United Church for a SING ALONG MESSIAH. The afternoon’s performance will feature debut aria soloists and members of Early Music Voices as oratorio soloists with the audience joining for ALL choruses. Bring your own Messiah score, or rent one at the concert!

Luminous Voices Presents: A Luminous New Year’s Eve
Dec 31 - 7:30pm Bella Concert Hall

Calgary’s professional chamber choir rings in the New Year!

Join Founder/Artistic Director Timothy Shantz and the singers of Luminous Voices for a THRILLING evening of unaccompanied choral music to welcome the warmth of the new year.

Punctuated by sparkling wine and chocolates at intermission, this concert is a perfect choral tradition in Calgary to share with family and friends during the holidays - The evening wraps up with lots of time for you to still make your New Year’s Eve Parties!
